The sixty-member band is local and not-for-profit. They play big band, jazz, show tunes, marches and folk music at events in the South Bay area. The Pops ‘n Picnic events are a regular happening at Upper Meadow. Show up with your blanket or beach chair and enjoy a picnic while listening to music from 5:30 to 8:00 Sunday nights.
Also for music lovers, there are the 2016 Summer of Music free concerts on the Redondo Pier. They are held each Saturday evening from six to eight from July through to September 3. Bring blankets and beach chairs. Food and beverages from over thirty Redondo Beach restaurants will be available for purchase.
